Posted: February 17, 2009 in Cricket

International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Federation of International Cricketers’ Association (FICA)acknowledged Sir Vivian Richards, Andy Roberts and Micheal Holding for the services to cricket. On 16.02.2009, ICC inducted them to the Hall of Fame. The Legends were presented with their Hall of Fame caps by West Indies Cricket Board President Dr.Julian Hunte on the field of play during the lunch interval on day two of the third test between West Indies and England at the Antigua Recreation Ground.

2009 is ICC’s centenary year. ICC will name further inductees in near future.

I thank ICC and FICA for honouring the greatest servants and ambassadors of the game!

Cricket Wins…!

Posted: December 16, 2008 in Cricket

Hi Friends,

On behalf of every cricket admirer around the Globe, I thank ECB and brave players of England who came here and displayed a remarkable sportsmanship. This particular match will be remembered for many reasons. Spectators of Madras were witnessed five fantastic days of Cricket. Security Personals deserves a special mention here. Ground Staff who spared every ounce of theirĀ  energy to prepare this rain-hit ground should be rewarded aptly.

India won the match quite convincingly. In my perspective, England did not lose ! Actual winner is the great game called CRICKET. I am too moved to witness that Sachin Tendulkar has accepted every ground staff’s handshake. I proud of myself for being the sincere observer of the game over the years. Now, I have every reason to be proud !

I have enjoyed this remarkable game not only for the cricketing reasons. Happy to see that the love affair between Sachin Tendulkar and Chidambaram Stadium continues. Special Salute to Sachin Tendulkar for dedicated the timely hundred to unfortunate victims of Bombay !!
